Particularities of higher education legislation systems in the world

EENI Global Business School acts in a Global Market where legislation of each region or country can vary significantly.

For this reason, it is necessary to implement a global strategy capable to adapt regionally, and even locally, to each country.

In general, the educational systems can differ by at least in four main variables.

The duration of Bachelors and Masters. For example, a Bachelor of Science in Spain is 4-years (although the new law allows 3-years) while in Italy it is 3-years.
Name: Spain (Grado), the United States (Online Bachelor of Science), Latin America (Licenciatura)
Credit system. The ECTS in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), the AC in the United States or the SICA (Latin American Academic Credits System) in Latin America.
1. ECTS = European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System. 1 ECTS credit = between 25 and 30 hours of dedication to the student (Education+ work student)
2. AC = American Credit (American credit or Carnegie Unit). 1 AC credit equals 12 teaching hours - contact hour -
3. Saudi Arabia: 1 credit = 55 minutes of class.
4. India: Indian credits
Way to score (grade system). In Spain, it is 0-10, and in France, it is 0-20

And the local peculiarities of each country (such as the requirement to issue the Diploma in a local language).

This adaptation can also be carried out through the so-called “Diploma Supplement” marked by the European Union, where all these particularities are reflected.
